Mastering Visual Aids and Off-the-Cuff Presenting

  • McKinney House 457 Ruthven Street Toowoomba City, QLD, 4350 Australia (map)

Death by Power Point. How often have you heard that term? Power Point is just one of the many visual aids available to the presenter.

Now imagine the power went out and you had an audience of 60 eager potential clients ready for your presentation. Could you do it? OR you are the junior partner at a firm and have been asked to assist your Managing Director while they present a new management strategy to the Board of Directors. Thirty minutes before the event they feel unwell and ask you to take over. Could you do it?

This workshop will explore these areas by: firstly, examining the latest research (Science) on how to best use Power Point and other aids to ‘trigger’ engagement with your audience visually. Here you will explore the notion that Power Point is often a default position for the lazy presenter. Learn how to develop other ways of engaging your audience visually without relying on it, allowing your presentation to proceed even without power.

Secondly, reflecting on all that has gone before in workshops 1,2 and 3, to enable you to conquer the ‘Everest’ for any presenter…….. being able to present on any topic with only thirty minutes’ preparation.

Here we look at your confidence as a presenter (the physiology of excellence) your ability to connect quickly with your audience (developing the WIIFM), to use a simple framework to enable you to clearly understand any concept and finally the use of visual and other aids to assist you deliver compelling presentations.
